Data Inconsistency while masking CLOB column of Oracle table containing text data.

Issue/Introduction

When there is some text in the CLOB cloumn of an Oracle table, the HASHLOV is not masking consistently for the same values even if the the values are same at HEX level.

Example from audit log:

ARTICLE,"ID","2","BODY","HASHLOV","Hindi is the national language","Critical Mass"
ARTICLE,"ID","3","BODY","HASHLOV","Maths is all about numbers","Battlegroup"
ARTICLE,"ID","4","BODY","HASHLOV","Maths is all about numbers","Phantasy Star Universe"

Identified as product bug and fixed.

Resolution

Get the patched build of FDM FastDataMasker-4.9.172.0.zip from support portal:  TDM Support Patches
