Performance Reduction with Oracle Upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Our performance has dropped significantly with a recent Oracle upgrade to our staging database. We are upgrading our Oracle version from 11g to 19c. In doing so, our publish times have gone from about 8 minutes per single publish to about 12.5 minutes. A publish of 3 has gone from about 24.5 minutes to 33.5 minutes. We would like to know if other TDM clients have experienced any significant performance issue with an upgrade to 19c. Or, can you look at our publish logs and see if something looks awry. 

Basically, do you have any suggestions or possible solutions to this?

Resolution

Oracle Support reviewed the trace logs and did not find any issues with the Oracle DB. They said this appears to be due to possible DB link Network performance.

Engineering suggests upgrading javelin and the ODAC (64-bit) builds to the latest releases, which utilize the Oracle 19 drivers.

Provided Javelin-4.9.159.0 and GTODACDeveloper-4.126.0.100.
