Issue/Introduction

NFA console administration view device count is higher than CAPC console NFA administration view device count.

In NFA GUI, administration view, we see that there are 494 devices shown

..

But when we look at the NFA administration view in CAPC console, we see only 349 devices listed:

..

Why is there a difference?

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT INTEGRATIONS

Cause

NFA licensing considers 5 interfaces as 1 devices.

So if a device has 6 interfaces, it is counted as 2 devices.

The difference in numbers is because that calculation is not done in the CAPC console.

So the number on the CAPC side will be lower.

Resolution

The numbers in CAPC are an accurate reflection of how many devices there really are present in NFA.
