selogrcd is not started

Issue/Introduction

OS Ver : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.3 (Maipo)

PIM Ver : VeRsIoN: 12.81-0 (3435) Compiled On:Apr 10 2019 03:35:55  Kernel: 3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64-RH73 _LINUX70-3100-514-RHELX86_64.X86_64 STOP 30034

After installing CA PIM 12.8 SP1(3435) on RHEL 7.3.

Enable the below function:

/usr/seos/bin/seini -sn daemons.selogrcd yes
/usr/seos/bin/seini -sn daemons.selogrd yes

selogrcd is not started when i running PIM.

there is some error messages like below.

Similar error may be presented with PAMSC endpoints as well.

Environment

Privileged Identity Manager (A.K.A CA ControlMinder - Unix): All supported versions inclusing PAMSC 14.1 endpoints.

Resolution

The rpcbind service needs to be running in order for selorgcd to start properly. (For PIM endpoints)

For PAMSC :: Make sure to upgrade to the latest version of PAMSC endpoint.
