SEP Security Virtual Appliances cube processing error

Issue/Introduction

Any IT Analytics (ITA) processing job that includes the SEP Security Virtual Appliances cube fails.

The following error is displayed in the SQL Server Agent job history, and is returned when manually processing the SEP Security Virtual Appliances cube, SVAs measure group, SVAs partition:

OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: The statement has been terminated.; 01000; Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type datetime.; 22003.

Cause

The data source query for this partition pulls from the view vITAnalytics_SEP_SVAFact, which in turn calls the function fnITAnalytics_SEP_SVAFact, which queries the SEM5 database table SEM_SVA. The error is caused by an epoch time value in the LAST_UPDATE_TIME column of this table.

Resolution

This is a known issue that will be addressed in a future release of IT Analytics. If no SEP virtual appliances are used, uninstall this cube by doing the following:

1. Open the ITA console
2. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Cubes Installation
3. Locate the SEP Security Virtual Appliances cube, select it, and click Uninstall
