Server type devices not discovering properly in Performance Management via Spectrum inventory sync

Issue/Introduction

When new device models are created in Spectrum using the Discovery Console, the inventory sync with Performance Manager is causing them to be classified as Other within PM.

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : IM Data Aggregator

Cause

The device in question was not accessible via ping. When discover runs if the device does not respond to ping then we will not try an SNMP discovery of the device. 

Resolution

In the discovery profile under the advanced tab you need to de-select "Use ICMP" and then re-run the discovery.
