Notification object not sending mail to specific new distribution list

Issue/Introduction

A call operator sending to a new distribution list / shared mailbox is not sending.  There are no error messages either in the task details, report, or the WP logs.  The task report of the notification object shows:

U00011129 User 'USER/DEPT' will be informed externally by email ('[email protected]')

Resolution

Exchange admin resolved: The specific distro / email address the email was being sent to was set up to only receive mail from authenticated users. Once the exchange admin fixed that, it worked correctly
