Direct URL not working correctly when using SAML SSO

Issue/Introduction

You download an excel spreadsheet which contains hyperlinks to allow users to click on and bring up the URL of the projects.  Or you use bookmarks to direct URL of pages, i.e. a project. The links do not work on SAML SSO implementation.

Resolution

This solution is for SAAS only. 

Set up the deeplinks

1. Configure the externalURL field in properties.xml as below ( make sure you replace <servername> and <port> with the correct values)

http(s)://<SERVERNAME>:<PORT>/niku/nu?RelayState=encode(replace(/niku/nu#action:,/niku/app?action=,${entryurl}))

2. Restart the app services and export to excel. The links generated should be deep linked now.

Additional Information

If deeplinks do not work on On Premise, this is caused by a known limitation: Unable to set MUX as landing page, and deeplinks on SAML do not work (On Premise Only)
