Data Center Security Manager Upgrades for DCS 6.5.x and DCS 6.6.x to DCS 6.9.x

Issue/Introduction

In order to update the Symantec Data Center Security Primary Manager to DCS 6.9.x you will need to update to an interim version if running DCS 6.5.x or DCS 6.6

Environment

This applies to the following Symantec Data Center Security Server (DCS) Versions
Symantec Data Center Security Server 6.5.x
Symantec Data Center Security Server Advanced 6.5.x
Symantec Data Center Security Server Monitoring Edition 6.5.x

Symantec Data Center Security Server 6.6.x
Symantec Data Center Security Server Advanced 6.6.x
Symantec Data Center Security Server Monitoring Edition 6.6.x

Symantec Data Center Security Server 6.9.x
Symantec Data Center Security Server Advanced 6.9.x
Symantec Data Center Security Server Monitoring Edition 6.9.x

Resolution

Upgrade the Primary DCS Manager to DCS 6.7.3 or DCS 6.8.2 before upgrading to DCS 6.9.2

Important notes:

• Ensure you have all DCS Tomcat Only Managers Stopped
• Upgrade the Tomcat Only Managers to the Same version after the Primary DCS Manager has been upgraded
• After you have upgraded all DCS Managers to DCS 6.9.2, you can then upgrade the DCS Managers to DCS 6.9.3
