Issue/Introduction

Noticed a change to multiline processing after upgrade to CA Plex 7.2.1.

With CA Plex 7.0, when you use the TAB key to move the Note panel to the Description field, the insertion point moves to the beginning of the text or to the location where it was last time. The same thing works when you move to a field via the mouse cursor.

With CA Plex 7.2.1, when you use the TAB key in the Notes panel to move to the Description field, the insertion point moves to the end of the text and paints the entire text. If you press anything else than the arrow key, the entire text is removed.  Also, with a mouse cursor, a point to the field paints the entire field.

Resolution

There was a change carried out in an earlier release to select the text on focus gain.

By default in CA Plex 7.2.1, the reported behavior is ON.

To set the behavior to the same as before, make the following entry in the application INI file. 

Add/update 'Multiline Marked Text=0' within the 'Window Options' section in the application INI file.
