Need to delete duplicate computers created by a MAC computer with the same name with Asian characters appended to the end of the name.

Issue/Introduction

MAC computer was created 80k times with the same name with Asian characters appended to the end of the name.

Need to delete the duplicate computers.

Environment

Release : 8.5

Cause

Corruption in the agent.

Resolution

Uninstall the corrupted agent.

Delete the duplicate computer entries in the Console from Manage>Computers.

Note: In this particular case, the Notification Server was under resourced with CPU, Memory, and Disk Space. The customer need to delete a few entries at a time to avoid overwhelming the Notification Server.
