Risk, Issues, Changes and Links added to Blueprints for Ideas and CIT

Issue/Introduction

I have created custom blueprints for Ideas and noticed that the new modules (Risks, Issues, Changes (also referred to as R/I/C or RICS) and Links) introduced in v15.9.2 were automatically added. For Custom Investment objects, Risks, Issues, and Changes have been added. Is this expected behavior? 

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a Customer Investment (CIT) object
2. Create a blueprint for Ideas
3. Create a blueprint for CIT created
4. Upgrade to 15.9.2

Expected Results:

• The Ideas blueprint will look the same as before the upgrade, no Risks, Issues, Changes or Links modules
• The CIT blueprint will look the same as before the upgrade, no Risks, Issues, or Changes modules

Actual Results:

• The Ideas blueprint will contain the Risks, Issues, Changes and Links modules
• The CIT blueprint will contain the Risks, Issues, and Changes modules

Cause

This is working as designed. 

• Risks, Issues, Change Requests are added as selected modules in all project/idea/CIT blueprints. This is included in both Standard and Custom Blueprints. See Risks Issues and Changes Modules Available for All Investments in the 15.9.2 documentation where this is referenced.
• Similarly for Links, the Links module has been added as a selected module for both out of the box and custom modules. See Links Module Available for Ideas where this is referenced. 

Resolution

To remove any of the above modules:

For custom Blueprints:

1. Go to the Blueprint and click Edit
2. Remove the Modules you do not want to display
3. Publish the Blueprint

For Standard (out of the box) Blueprints:

The one option is to create a Business Rule to hide these modules. See Creating and Executing Business Rules for more details on how to do this.
