Issue/Introduction

This technical article documents a scenario where devices within the Operator Console Inventory tab  display the Robot or Hub address (/Domain/Hub/Robot/hub) instead of hostname.

Environment

Release : 20.3.3.X

Component : UIM Operator Console - Inventory

Resolution

 

Our conclusion is that within the UIM environment there must be some type of  "self monitoring" for these devices (device name = hub address) to be created.

During our investigation process, we also found for two hub address device entries that alerts are raised linked to HA and UIM Queues.

This is also confirmed by no probe name being visible for the alarms attached to the hub address entries:
