Issue/Introduction

The nightly RiskFabric Processing job does not proceed past job step 11 (Update LDW_Core). Temporary normality processing jobs (e.g., RiskFabric_ProcessNormality_AuthenticationEvents) are listed under the SQL Server Agent > Jobs folder in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), preventing the RiskFabric Processing job from proceeding to step 12. Deleting these temporary jobs enables processing to continue but the same symptoms return during the next nightly processing job run.

Environment

Release : 6.5.x

Component : RiskFabric Processing

Cause

The root cause of this behavior is the processing condition values on the columns LastRunFeatureStatusFlag, LastRunModelStatusFlag, and LastRunUpdateScoreStatusFlag in the table spNormality_WaitToUpdateNormalityScores are incorrectly reporting a running state from the outset of normality processing, likely caused by a failure during a previous processing run. Correcting these flags enables the temporary normality processing jobs to complete and the nightly RiskFabric processing job to continue.

Resolution

A fix for this behavior will be included in the next release of Information Centric Analytics.
