Configuring a File System IW to replace rather than increment entities in an Entity Collection

Issue/Introduction

Entity collections created from a flat file (e.g., CSV) increase in size when the flat file containing the list of entities is replaced with a new file, rather than simply replacing the existing list of entities with the new list.

Environment

Release : 6.5.x

Component : Integration Wizard (IW)

Resolution

To configure an integration to truncate entities associated with an entity collection that was created from a flat file, the File System IW needs to be configured as follows:

• In the data source configuration, set the Days to Retain value to 0
• In the data integration rule mapping, ensure the Risk Fabric Processing Watermark value is empty
• In the data integration rule mapping, set the optional field TruncateExistingCollectionName type to Fixed Value, Default Value = 1
