Issue/Introduction

403 Forbidden error when logging into the Netops Portal using SiteMinder/SAML2.

After entering the username/password, we get the following error from the SiteMinder server:

HTTP Status 403 – Forbidden
Type  Status Report
Message Request Forbidden. Transaction ID: <ID> failed
Description< he server understood the request but refuses to authorize it

The last request we see is from the Netops Portal to SiteMinder

Resolution

This issue would need to be investigated on the SiteMinder side as SiteMinder is not authorizing the request.
