Issue/Introduction

The Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) user interface application throws the following error on systems where the Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Endpoint Agent is installed.

The procedure entry point _except1 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)\Manufacturer\Endpoint Agent\prntm.dll.

Resolution

Add all three applications (IAStorUI.exe, IAStorIconLaunch.exe, and IAStorIcon.exe) to the global application monitoring list and then deselect all the channels.
