Unable to model device as SNMP in Spectrum but snmpwalk shows it as accessible

Issue/Introduction

when trying to create mode by IP address (an SNMP device) on Spectrum, I get an error message:

SPC-OCC-10286: Error discovering the device.

1.3.6.1.4.1.232.11.2.10.1.0

The device is completely accessible by snmpwalk

 

 

Environment

Release : 10.4.1

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

This is an unsupported low level UPS device which may not have advanced SNMP capabilities.

Resolution

Please use model by type GnSNMPdev instead of model by IP.  It uses a different algorithm to model and is successful with this device.
