Issue/Introduction

WA Agent install on SUSE 15 fails with this message

Custom Action:            cybermation.iainstaller.library.CybFatalLinuxService
                          Status: FATAL ERROR
                          Additional Notes: FATAL ERROR -     class cybermation.iainstaller.library.CybFatalLinuxService FatalInstallException: Service could not be registered. Could not register service with chkconfig. 
/sbin/insserv: No such file or directory

 

Environment

Release : 11.5, R12

Component : CA Workload Automation Agent

Cause

Unsupported Agent version is installed and/or missing packages needed by the installer.

Resolution

Install missing packages such as the following:

zypper install insserv-compat

Note: Only WA Agent 11.5 and above are supported on SUSE 15.
