Issue/Introduction

Is there a Disk function that will select all pseudo-volser entries in the CATALOGS for which no entries exist in the FILES ?

Release : Disk Backup and Restore 12.5

Resolution

DISK doesn't have any function that scans the catalog and either reports or deletes the entries in Disk 12.5 release.  

If Vantage is installed, it is possible to create an audit report showing data sets in the catalog without DSNINDEX records.  Refer to ARCHIVED within the Disk tech doc.

To see the object in Vantage, go to Object tree -> Backup and Archive Management -> CA DISK -> Audits -> Cataloged ARCIVE not in DSNINDEX.
