Issue/Introduction

Some Linux machines appear with "unknown class_id" as OS in DSM Explorer.

Example :

Environment

Client Automation 14.0 SP2

Cause

Some OS classes are missing in file OSConfig.xml

Resolution

Fix T533338 add these classes in osconfig.xml

SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 15 (class ID 5536)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 (class ID 5537)

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.10 x86 (class ID 5551)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.10 x86_64 (class ID 5552)

 

Attached file OSConfig.xml includes the fix T533338 and adds the classes :

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7.4 x86_64  (class ID 5556)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7.5 x86_64   (class ID 5557)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7.6 x86_64   (class ID 5558)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7.7 x86_64   (class ID 5559)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 x86_64   (class ID 5560)

 

Copy the file OSConfig.xml under CA\DSM\Agent of all machines with DSM Explorer installed (DSM Domain Managed included).

 

and restart DSM Explorer
