Issue/Introduction

A "JavaScript is not enabled in your web browser. To use Symantec LiveUpdate Administrator, please enable JavaScript in your browser" message is displayed when attempting to login to LiveUpdate Administrator using Internet Explorer 11.x.

Environment

LiveUpdate Administrator 2.3.9; 2.3.10
Internet Explorer 11.x

Resolution

This is by design. Compatibility view results in Internet Explorer providing a reduced set of JavaScript functions.

Workaround:

1. In Internet Explorer, select the Tools drop-down menu or the gear icon.
2. Select Compatibility View Settings;
3. Uncheck Display intranet sites in Compatibility View;
4. Select Close;
5. Launch LiveUpdate Administrator.
