Issue/Introduction

Is there any downside to assign the Xmanager started task to the SYSSTC service class which has the Db2 IRLM assigned to it?

Resolution

Ideally, the service class that the Db2 IRLM address space is assigned to should have velocity and importance higher than that of the service class
that the Xmanager address space is assigned to.  However, we do not think that having the Db2 IRLM address space and the Xmanager address space
assigned to the same service class has been proven to be problematic.

We believe that the safest approach is to:
1) Assign the Db2 IRLM address space to a service class above the service class that the Xmanager address space is assigned to.
2) Assign the address spaces executing SQL and the DBM1, DIST, and WLM address spaces to service classes below the service class that the Xmanager address space is assigned.
