Issue/Introduction

Can a Spectrum Alarm Notification (SANM) Policy model be copied or renamed?

Environment

Release : Any

Component : Spectrum Application / SANM

Resolution

You cannot copy a SANM Policy from one to another.

However, you can rename a SANM Policy. Spectrum OneClick does not allow you to rename the Policy in the GUI but you can use the Attributes tab to rename the Policy.

1. Find and select the SANM Policy

2. Click on the Attributes tab

3. Filter for and select the Model_Name attribute id 0x1006e and change the name.

When you run the SANM -> All Applications search, the Current Policy column still shows the old Policy name. To get it to change to the new Policy name, associate the SANM Application to another SAMN Policy (for example the DefaultPolicy) and then change it again selecting the new Policy name.
