Unable to install / upgrade to 10.04.03.x from GUI installer as options are greyed out and it wrongly references 9.3.0

Issue/Introduction

When upgrading Spectrum, running the .txe (Linux self-extracting executable) results in an incomplete Installer GUI and refers to 9.3 with the install options Greyed out:

 

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum 20.2.x

Cause

There is a space in the directory path being used for the install. For example:

~/tmp/installers – spectrumupgrade 

When running against this the process fails.

Resolution

Rename the install folder to eliminate the spaces. So for the example used above, change it to:

~/tmp/installers–spectrumupgrade 

Then the installer should extract correctly and launch with all options available:
