Issue/Introduction

Question:

I am logged into the system as a Financial Administrator with sufficient security access rights that allows me to create manual Voucher Transaction Entries. After filling in the information and saving the entry, when I return to the Voucher Transaction Entry List View, I don't see it listed. Did it get saved? How can it disappear from the list?

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login to the application as a Financial Manager or Financial Administrator
  2. Navigate to Home, Transaction Entry
  3. Click 'New' button
  4. Create a Voucher Header
  5. Create individual Transaction Entries for the Voucher
  6. Return to the Voucher Transaction Entry List View
Expected Result: I should see the Voucher Transaction Entry that I just created.
Actual Result: The Transaction Entry header is not listed.

Answer:

Although the application allows you to create Voucher Transaction Entries with the proper security access rights, the end-user must also have Financial properties defined on their Resource profile. The user that reported this issue did not have financial properties.

Note: Behavior has changed in v13.3 and beyond.  The creator of the manual transaction does not need to have financial properties defined to see the transactions in the list.  If you experience a similar symptom and it cannot be resolved with this configuration, please log a support case.

Configuration Steps:

  1. Login to the application as a System Administrator
  2. Navigate to Home, Resources, filter for the Financial Manager's or Financial Administrator's resource profile
  3. Go to Financial Properties page
  4. Fill in the required fields to configure the financial properties
  5. Save the updates, log out
  6. Login to the application as a Financial Manager or Financial Administrator
  7. Navigate to Transaction Entry list page you should now see the transactions

The following article describes a similar scenario.  Updating the Resource Financial Properties page for the user creating manual transactions will allow the user to see the transactions in the UI before posting them into WIP.
