What is the polling interval for the data feed to the traffic page in Enforce?
And how can it be adjusted?

Resolution

The default interval which data is polled is 24 hours (or 86400000 seconds). And this is customizable.

To adjust the interval, if needed, edit the file Manager.properties located at:

Linux: /opt/Symantec/DataLossPrevention/EnforceServer/<version>/Protect/config
Windows: C:\Program Files\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\EnforceServer\<version>\Protect\config

First create a backup of the file. Then, search for the following lines:

# StatisticsRollup aggregates traffic statistics older than 7 days into a
# daily snapshot.  The default Period is every 24 hours.  The default delay
# is unspecified in this configuration file and calculated when the manager
# starts such that the Rollup task runs at midnite.
com.vontu.manager.system.statistics.StatisticsRollup.period = 86400000

And adjust the setting com.vontu.manager.system.statistics.StatisticsRollup.period, examples:

For 12 hours: 43200000
For 6 hours: 21600000

Save the file and recycle the Symantec DLP Manager Service.
