CA View - Unable to browse sysout on tape using EAS

Issue/Introduction

With use of View's EAS, when trying to select a report with a location of PTAP, on one of our View databases, message "Unable to view" is received (long message ([F1]): "Userid not authorized to view the selected sysout").

If the report is loaded to disk, there are no problems browsing it.

Resolution

The client had View ERO subfield VIEWTAPE=NO coded for some reports.

VIEWTAPE=NO says to not allow tape mounts via EAS, although EAS is used.

However, the report can still be loaded using SARBCH /LOAD or the View Sysout Selection List line command "L".

The client removed the VIEWTAPE=NO from the ERO entry, and reports could be browsed using EAS with no problems.
