Issue/Introduction

We look at the item_model_mapping table in the Spectrum netqos_integ db and we see there are duplicate item id for different models.  If we turn on the Performance Center Integration Sync debug on the OneClick tomcat server, we see this in the output:

0x2047ea6: already in map with 1163321
0x626fc35: already in map with 1163321

$ grep 1163317 catalina.out
0x2047ef1: already in map with 1163317
0x626fc2f: already in map with 1163317

$ grep 1163318 catalina.out
0x2047eb6: already in map with 1163318
0x626fc31: already in map with 1163318

$ grep 1163319 catalina.out
0x204812e: already in map with 1163319
0x626fc32: already in map with 1163319

When we review the item id in PC we also see multiple model handles for the same Item ID

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

The databases have duplicate entries because models were destroyed and remodeled.  PC does not destroy or delete the model when it is destroyed in Spectrum so it used the same item ID when the model was recreated on another server as the IfName and IfIndex were an exact match.  Since there is only 1 model now in Spectrum it is ok to have the duplicates.

Resolution

There is nothing to do as this is functioning as designed.
