When attempting to add VOLUME(*ALL*(G)) and permit access the following errors occur:
READY
TSS ADD(dept) VOLUME(*ALL*(G))
TSS0350E RESOURCE NOT OWNED WITHIN SCOPE
TSS0301I ADD FUNCTION FAILED, RETURN CODE = 8
READY
TSS PER(profile) VOLUME(*ALL*(G)) ACC(ALL)
TSS0316E VOLUME NOT FOUND IN SECURITY FILE
TSS0301I PERMIT FUNCTION FAILED, RETURN CODE = 8
TSS WHOOWNS VOLUME(*ALL*(G))
TSS0318E RESOURCE NOT FOUND IN SECURITY FILE
TSS0301I WHOOWNS FUNCTION FAILED, RETURN CODE = 8
When listing the MSCA acid, it shows VOLUMES = *ALL*(G)
TSS LIST(msca) DATA(ALL)
ACCESSORID = msca NAME = name
TYPE = MASTER SIZE = 9216 BYTES
...
VOLUMES = *ALL*(G)
Release : 16.0
Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS
Problem was a broken pointer. To correct this, do the following from the MSCA:
TSS ADD(msca) VOLUME(*ALL*(G))
where 'msca' is the MSCA ACID.
