AutoDiscovery task takes several hours to complete

When I run an autodiscovery from Oneclick it appears to hang and takes a long time.

In the Discovery Status window it appears the following messages: after the range discovery Complete, it appears the message "Waiting for X discovery tasks to complete". X sometimes it´s 32 or 35 or 45. After 3 or 4 hours the discovery completes.

I've checked out that there aren´t any other discovery tasks running, I´ve click on Abort Discovery button before running this discovery as well. Also I´ve run from the cli the update command over the TopologyWrkSpc to empty any discovery queue.

Multiple Ip ranges can add to the time it takes Spectrum to complete a discovery as each of these ip address ranges needs to be interrogated separately by Spectrum.


When doing a range discovery and using multiple ip address ranges, this adds to the discovery time.  If running multiple ip address range it may be best to schedule the discovery for after hours.
