How to Sync benefit values with roadmaps

Issue/Introduction

We notice that there is a "Benefit" field in Roadmaps, but it shows 0 even against Items that are linked to Projects with Benefit Plans in them. What are the criteria governing values getting synced with this field?

Environment

Releases: 15.9.2, 15.9.3, 16.0, 16.0.1

Resolution

 

The "Benefit" field in Roadmap Items gets updated when the following conditions are met:

1. There is a Benefit Plan present in the parent Project
2. That Benefit Plan is associated with the Plan of Record Cost Plan

Once a Benefit Plan is created it should be attached to the Cost Plan to provide data for Financial Calculations. 
To attach a Benefit Plan to a Cost Plan, open the Cost Plan Properties screen and navigate to the Benefit Plan field. 
Search for the appropriate Benefit Plan, select the plan, and then SAVE the update.

3. Be sure to Sync from the Roadmap
