sql_server probe Error in DbConnectionOpen

Issue/Introduction

The sql_server probe connection test is successful for connections and profiles, however when probe GUI is closed, the probe fails with authentication, and throw timeouts.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM SQL_RESPONSE

sql_response v1.80

Resolution

The following error has been observed in the sql_response probe log file:

COM Error [0x80040e4d] IDispatch error #3149 - [Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server] Login failed for user 'username'
 

Workaround:

 

- If sql_response probe is working fine in another environment like a lab/test environment, please perform the following steps:

 

• configure sql_response probe in the lab/test environment
• set the password and then copy the encrypted password encryption

          - from -

           the lab/test environment's sql_response.cfg file

          - to - 

           sql_response.cfg file on the robot with issue

• deactivate and activate the sql_response probe on the robot with issue
