Issue/Introduction

Where are the Automic Web Interface logs found?

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component :AUTOMIC WEB INTERFACE

Resolution

Depending on the Web Server, the default location will be different. All files should have the same default name (<hostname>_awi_LOG.00.txt).

Tomcat:
Tomcat will have the files within the <base folder>/logs. For example: C:\Automic\External.Resources\apache-tomcat-9.0.19\logs

WebLogic:
Weblogic will have the logs located within \public\logs, matching the location of the deployement. For example if:

\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp\_WL_user\awi\y9w65b\war\config

That is where the configuration files are (uc4config.xml). Then:

\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp\_WL_user\awi\y9w65b\public\logs

Will be the logation of the log files.

WebSphere:
The log files should be located within the awi_war\logs folder within the node. For example, in a default installation:

C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\temp\lvntest028895Node01\server1\awi_war\awi.war\logs
