Issue/Introduction

When installing Data Center Security (DCS) agent with antimalware features enabled, the install fails on RHEL 7 servers with the following warnings:

WARNING: /var dir has less than 1GB free space available

WARNING: Antimalware feature is disabled

Environment

DCS 6.8.2 and above

Component : RHEL 7 agent

Resolution

This issue is fixed in DCS 6.9.1, Resolved issues in 6.9.1

To ensure a successful install of the DCS agent for RHEL 7 on older builds with antimalware and auto protect features enabled, the following resources needs to be available:

/var directory needs 1GB free space

/tmp directory needs 1GB free space

/opt directory needs 4GB free space

DCS agent server needs 4GB RAM (physical RAM + swap space)

If any of these requirements are not met, the antimalware features will fail to install.
