OWB Save Error after upgrading TLS to 1.2

Issue/Introduction

After updating TLS to 1.2 (from 1.1), users on Open Workbench (OWB) version 15.6.1 or 15.9.1 are not able to save updated plans back to Clarity from OWB.

  • Error: Unable to save project CA PPM\<Project ID>. Error writing to server
  • Also get a Server Reconnect message.

Reviewing OWB Error: "Received fatal alert 'handshake_failure'", this issue happens even if the version of OWB and Clarity match.

App-ca.logs are showing error message:

com.niku.schedulers.VersionException

OWB version 15.2 and older are not experiencing the issue.

Resolution

Even if your OWB and Clarity version match:

  1. Uninstall OWB and Schedule Connect
  2. Download and install the latest OWB version from Account Settings > Software Downloads
