Issue with new users accepting an invitation to join a team after deleting the default group - "User Group"

Issue/Introduction

Invitations to join a specific API Monitoring (Runscope) team were sent out; however, these users are not showing as Team members after accepting the invitation.

One user captured the following message after accepting the invitation:

The Roles for this team were modified and the default "User Group" role was removed.

Cause

When the invitations to join the team were sent out, the "Invite as read-only member(s)." option was not selected:

Resolution

Team owners must send team invitations to new members with the "Invite as read-only member(s)." option selected if the default "User Group" role is removed from the team.
