Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Security (SES) client is upgraded automatically from previous version to 14.3 RU2 (14.3.4615.2000). But SES client user interface - [Help] - [Troubleshooting] - [Cloud Connection Status] shows "application error : 14" and client is not enrolled.

Symantec Endpoint Security 14.3 RU2 (14.3.4615.2000)

Resolution

Broadcom corrected the issue. If the issue still occur, you can run LiveUpdate manually if your System policy allows then wait enrollment done automatically or push [Enroll] button on SES user interface - [Help] - [Troubleshooting] - [Cloud Connection Status] tab to boost enrollment.

Even if you cannot do above action, enrollment will happen automatically after SES client run scheduled LiveUpdate by System Policy settings.

  • Default LiveUpdate schedule : Every 4 hours
  • Enrollment retry : 1 hour
