Exporting log files for a date range from Encryption Management Server

By default, 30 days of logs are exported from Encryption Management Server. It is possible, however, to export logs for a specific date range.


Symantec Encryption Management Server 3.4.2 and above.


To export log entries for a date range, do the following:

  1. Login to the administration console.
  2. Navigate to Reporting / Logs.
  3. By default, the Mail log will be selected. Choose a different log file from the Log dropdown list if required.
  4. Click on the Advanced link under the Search button to reveal advanced search options.
  5. In the From Date field, enter the starting date for logs. Optionally, enter a time.
  6. Optionally, in the To Date field, enter the ending date for logs. Optionally, enter a time.
  7. Click the Search button.
  8. From the bottom of the page, click the Export button and choose Mail Log or the name of the log being displayed.
  9. The log file downloads automatically.
