Uninstall AMS Asset Viewer Tomcat and make installation optional

Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to remove and disable AMS Asset Viewer?  Reasons would be that the component is deemed to be unnecessary for day to day site operations.

Environment

Release : 17.3 and above

Component : CA Service Management (IT Asset Manager and Service Desk)

Resolution

Removing the AMS component is not supported.  This is because later patch updates would rely on the presence of the AMS component and its removal would break the patch installation. 

One can submit a suggestion or idea to the Broadcom Community site to consider its removal or disablement.
