Our $AUTOUSER/archive folder is taking up a lot of space.
This is where DBMaint archives events to but what cleans out the archive folder?
Release : 11.3.6
Component : WORKLOAD CONTROL CENTER
There is no automatic purge of the contents of the $AUTOUSER/archive/* files.
They are written to by the archive_events commands as part of DBMaint.
The files are never deleted automatically for you.
It is up to each customer to choose if they wish to keep say the past year or months worth of files, or archive them off further to some other location, or delete them.
There is no autosys specific command which will remove them for you.
You do have the option to modify your archive_events command switches to not archive the data at all if you wish.
Just omit the -A option from each of the calls in DBMaint or if you have jobs that run archive_events for you, then data will still be purged but not archived.
