Vertica Support For LVMs

Issue/Introduction

The IT team are in the process of upgrading Data Repository server disks to 1TB.  Would like to know if it is possible to move the Vertica data and catalog directories to LVMs?

Release : 20.2

Component : PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT INTEGRATIONS

Resolution

Vertica does support LVMs, however there is limited support.  Also there is a performance hit when using LVMs. Due to this Broadcom does not support LVM's for the Vertica database
