Error 500 on custom portlet page SQL error code: 10060

Clarity PPM On Premise Clarity PPM SaaS

Issue/Introduction

On custom portlet page, we have the error message:  "Error 500 - Internal Server Error. The server could not retrieve the document due to server-configuration or other technical problems. Contact your site administrator."

In the Clarity logs we see:

com.niku.union.web.WebException: Service call failed for portlet: z_mtpd_labour_hours_analysis

Caused by: com.niku.odf.griphendor.GriphendorException: com.niku.union.persistence.nsql.NSQLException: com.niku.union.persistence.PersistenceException:

SQL error code: 10060

Error message: [CA Clarity][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]TCP Provider: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
