SPAWN member not starting CCITCP and CCITCPGW

Issue/Introduction

 

You are trying to launch the CCITCP and CCITCPGW started tasks through SPNPARMS DD

                                  

You have two systems in the CCI network:  XXXXX and YYYYY.

 

On XXXXX where this works, running ENF with the spawn member defined you can see START commands in the ENF log:

 

hh.mm.ss STCnnnn  S CCITCP
hh.mm.ss STCnnnn  S CCITCPGW

 

However, on YYYYY when you start ENF,  you can see the CCIPARMs being driven, but you don't see the start commands being issued.

Environment

Release : 15.0

Component : CAICCI-MVS

Cause

Missing CCI DCM CAS9DCM3 in the ENF parameter file.
Without the DCM and a unique CCI SYSID, the CCI Subsystem will not start.

Resolution

Ensure that the necessary ENF control option DCM(CAS9DCM3) is defined in the ENF parms.
