Issue/Introduction

When running the CA Service Desk Manager configuration for the Support Automation main server, the recommended settings are:

  • Configuration Type: Main Server

  • HTTP Host Name or IP: SA Proxy Server

  • HTTP External Port: 8070 (default value)

  • Socket Server Host Name or IP: SA Proxy Server

  • Socket Server External Port: 10443 (default value)

  • Socket Server Internal Port: 7005 (default value)

If the Socket Server External Port is set to some other port that is already in use (e.g. 443) then the connection error occurs. Change this to 10443 by re-running pdm_configure.
