Cannot install or upgrade Endpoint Encryption if the Microsoft OLE DB Driver is not installed

Issue/Introduction

When installing Endpoint Encryption Management Server, the following error appears:

Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server (MSOLEDBSQL) is required in order to install this software.

Cause

The Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server is a requirement, as documented in the Installation Guide.

Environment

Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.3 and above.

Resolution

As documented in the Installation Guide, please download the Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server from here and install it before running the "SEE Server suite x64.msi" installation file.
