Issue/Introduction

Plan on upgrading to a new release of the Database Management for Db2 for z/OS tools soon.  Can the Post Install Db2 task JCL be generated ahead of time?

Resolution

Yes, the Post Install Db2 task JCL may be generated ahead of time. Prior to generating the JCL ensure the Product and Global CDBAPARM members
(SETUPxx, PLANSxx, DSNAMExx) are up to date as needed. As long as there have been no changes to the CDBAPARM members or environment
between the time the JCL is generated and executed there should be no problems.
