Issue/Introduction

We have recently purchased/installed DevTest 10.6 and noticed in the step where users change their password, there are no restrictive password rules are imposed. How can we set password policies in DevTest, and enforce them for user accounts?

Environment

Release : 10.6

Component : SERVICE VIRTUALIZATION

Resolution

The only option for applying password policies would be to configure the User Federation in Identity Access Manager to integrate with your LDAP server. Once Identity Access Manager is configured to work with your LDAP server, LDAP handles user authentication and password enforcement for DevTest. Another benefit to setting this up is you don't need to manually add your users in IAM, and the users do not need to maintain another account. They can simply rely on their AD?LDAP accounts to access DevTest.
