Recycle of external Datacom MUF caused CA ENF Archiving to stop

Issue/Introduction

• Recently added maintenance to our DCOM instance.
• After adding the maintenance, the MUF was stopped and restarted to implement the new maintenance.
• Looks like the ENF archiving process stopped after the implementation.
• ENF is setup to run with an external Datacom MUF.

Environment

Release : 15.0
Component : ENF COMMON COMP

Release: ANY
Component: Datacom/AD

Cause

ARCHIVE/BACKUP process is disabled when the external MUF is recycled.

Resolution

• Turn archiving back on by issuing the following command:

F ENF,ARCHIVE(0100)

Note: Review existing ENF parameter file to identify original ARCHIVE value.

• Corrective ENF 15.0 PTF LU01300 is available to prevent this behavior.
