Issue/Introduction

We have an integration of CA Spectrum and CA Performance Management and we have a CAPCIPDomain type global collection named 'Default Domain'. All models in CA Spectrum, that are devices only AND Model Class Not Equal To "Pingable"' are added to this via real time updates. Recently, we are experiencing a lot of instances where models are not updating in Default Domain. This is causing events raised in CA PM to not get synced over to CA Spectrum. The "Update Global Collection Now" button is also disabled.

Cause

Models are associated to another CAPCDomain

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Resolution

Review all CAPCIPDomains as a model can only be in 1 domain.

Run a locater search for Modeltype Name Equal to CAPCIPDomain.  There will be a CAPCIPDomain model on each landscape for each Domain.  Check the events on the domain as it will tell you if the model exists in another domain and it cannot be added to that domain.
